Birthday week thrifting orgy- part deux (Status: 2nd year for Paul McCobb)

Last year Paul McCobb stopped by for my birthday and now he has stopped by for my birthday, this year! He is in a different guise than last year's furniture and is accompanied by his pals Ben Seibel and Russel Wright plus seven Jacks.

Where is Paul McCobb?  Why, he is that groovy white platter, which is a part of the Contempri line designed by Mr. McCobb for the Jackson china company in 1959.  I looked EVERTWHERE to find more pieces but this was the lone piece at the Ohio Thrift on East Broad St. (Yup, I looked at all of the other OT locations, as well).  I still need to clean off that shmootz on the bottom.

There is Jack, or "Jacks" nestled in the Paul McCobb.  This is a set of seven "Jacks" pattern berry bowls made by Paden City around 1955.  Again, wanted to find more but the thrift gods were stingy.  Really a fun, playful pattern.  Found these at the new East Broad St. Goodwill.

Over on the left is Ben Seibel, he's bringing gravy to my birthday in this boat with attached underplate.  The design is "Vineyard" and was a part of the Iroquois Informal line.   Found this boat floating around the Georgesville Rd. Salvation Army (half price, too).

The first guy to the party, and the last in this post, was Mr. Russel Wright.  I found him in Mansfield Ohio (where they shot "The Shawshank Redemption") at a Goodwill near the mall.  It's a white two quart covered casserole from Iroquois casual.

There's more to come, so stay tuned to this batty channel!
