20th Century Cincinnati 2014, part two, some dealers and stuff (Status- I was kind of hurried)

When you are a dealer at a show, and you don't have anyone at the show with you, you can't really go off on a leisurely stroll around the sales floor on a picture safari without, ya' know, losing out on sales.  I took most of these pictures on Friday after spending a week and a half refinishing many pieces, piloting the van and trailer through high wind gusts, that at one point caused a semi-tractor trailer to nearly swerve into me, then spending seven hours setting up my own booth-I was exhausted.  Some of these pictures are also from booths that were not completely set up so there is a little spare packing material floating about. Alright-Here we go!

20th Century Cincinnati show part one- my booth! (Status- long time no see)

The second to the last week of February brings with it the huge 20th Century Cincinnati show and sale.  This year Bopfish Vintage was among the 75 dealers at the show!  Here is a little tour of what the booth looked like when the doors opened.

Almost a double Milo Baughman find near my hometown (Status: had a nice little run going for a couple of weeks)

Back on July 15 I posted an awesome leather and chrome sofa that I found in a city near my hometown.  Well, I have held in my back pocket the item I found the following week in that same city near my hometown.  Here is the picture from Craigslist that caught my eye

Get ready for the 2014 20th Century Cincinnati show Feb 22 and 23! (Status: I'll be dealing!)

Just today, the postman brought to me confirmation that I will be a dealer at the 2014 Cincinnati Mid Century Modern show AKA- 20th Century Cincinnati!  I did not get the 10 X 20 booth I wanted but I did get the last available booth space, an 8 X 14, so I will make do.

For post 200, the parade of blenders continues (Status: people love blenders)

Probably the most surprising thing about this blog is finding that blenders are twice as popular as Picasso!  Yup, my first post about blenders has had twice as many views as my post about finding a Picasso.  I want to give the people what they want| so to celebrate 200 posts-here are seven new blenders for my collection.

Birthday orgy of thrifting finds a Fritz Hansen (Status:Maybe I need to TABLE the thrifting)

As part of the BOoT (Birthday Orgy of Thrifting), I drove up to the Findlay Ohio Antique mall where I made a surprising score of this nice Fritz Hansen folding tray table!

2013 birthday orgy of thrifting makes a Declaration (Status:yeah!)

To be clear, "Birthday orgy of thrifting" is a term that also includes Craigslist, antique malls/stores and other non-thrift stores.  I mention this because I spotted this set of five Drexel declaration side chairs on the Springfield Ohio Craigslist and they became a part of the epic haulage of BOT.
