I had to go to my hometown to give my dad a lift to his doctor's appointment in Columbus. I gave myself plenty of time to hit all my secret treasure sites but the booty was kinda thin this trip.
I found these two lane end tables and a set of Bopfish-a-rific glasses but nada else.
The glasses have an awesome aqua blue and silver mid century fish pattern and they totally rock!
(damn, I can't seem to capture the silver...) They were priced at $10, but wait, it was half off day at the thrift! I'd have paid $20, gladly, to get these babies... maybe even $30- $5.00 was a no brainer!
The two Lane end tables are in fantastic condition; only a couple of scratches on one leg of one table.
I like the up curved edge on them and the little inlays on the edges are a nice touch to otherwise kinda plain pieces. BTW- solid wood, pecan or walnut- no veneer.
I have searched but have not found a name for this line (style 1050) but I have spotted a matching rectangular coffee table and a matching circular cocktail table. Maybe I will give Lane a call and see if there was a name or designer attached.
Those glasses are beyond fabulous! The price you paid just made them even more fab.
