New bonus Cathay covered dish find yesterday (Status: Bubba not around to approve)

Ever since last Thursday, when I found the 19 pieces of Cathay, I have felt like I needed to go back to that Volunteers of America; yesterday I did and it paid off!

I looked all over the store, nada, and then strolled by the front counter and there she was the Cathay covered casserole/ covered vegetable dish!   The dish is not very large, 8 inches across and 2 inches deep, they are also not very common.

Now I have a dilemma; when all I had was the 19 pieces, and a few others that I had found in the past (6 dinner plates and 2 soup bowls), I figured to sell them and just stick with my much larger collection of Jamaica Bay.  Now that I have this great, rare pot I'm tempted to keep this and sell of the Jamaica Bay to finance more Cathay.

  1. I have several pieces of Cathay that I've collected over the years-- what are you looking for in particular? I'd be happy to do a trade with you at some point in the future if you decide to stick with this line of dishware. :)

  4. Great find. I have been looking for this pattern, any pieces to surprise my husband. These were the dishes his family had as a kid. If you want to sell I am interested. Thank you

  5. Just won a complete dinnerware set at auction! I would be interested in buying this if you decide to sell.
