Time was I could drink like a fish... a Bopfish, perhaps? On my way back from my home town I stopped at an antique mall in Delaware Ohio where I picked up this set of ten glasses.
A couple of the glasses have some damage to their cool pattern, like this one where some of the gold washed away
or this one where the black pattern has some dishwasher burn
Still, super cool! They were priced at $24.00 but the booth was 75% off!
Love the glasses and it's perfect weather for a porch cocktail! We’ve been eyeing that Hey Wake sofa in Delaware.
ReplyDeleteIf you get the chance to pick up the summer edition of Columbus Crave magazine, there’s an article in the back about a new place called The Grass Skirt Tiki Bar opening up in Columbus late summer and some of the cocktails are displayed in retro glasses. I especially love the pilsner. Hopefully it's just a little sneak peak into their plans for a super cool retro fun tiki joint!
That Hey Wake sofa is pretty cool!
DeleteI've been following the "Grass Skirt" plans for a year and a half. Fingers crossed, it'll be really cool.
Hey. Just saw your story on the front page of Yahoo News! How's it feel to be internet famous?
ReplyDeleteIt's wacky that the story seemed to flair back up on Friday; I ended up do ing an interview with ABC News (dot) Com, the New York Daily News and a Canadian Broadcast Company radio show "As It Happens".
DeleteI know this is late but just wanted to drop a note to say that this is a very cool find. Love the design and color combo.
ReplyDeleteGold and black always looks swanky
